7. Activities :

 

The “Physics Club” has been formed under the banner of the department of physics to create scientific curiosity and attitude not only among each members but also in the society as a whole through multifarious activities like quizzes, scientific talk, seminar, sky observations, demonstration of scientific tools to the school children, chart/model competitions among the students, cultural meet etc.

 

Two ex-students of this Department have successfully completed NET during last two years. One of them ranked 1^st in M. Sc. examination of Tezpur University while other who ranked 2^nd in B.Sc. Examination, got 1^st class 3^rd position in M.Sc. Examination of Gauhati University.
